State-of-the-art technology and first-class healthcare were on show today at Gosford Hospital’s new 11-storey tower, part of the new $348 million redevelopment. 

The Turnbull Government has agreed to the transfer of two Black Hawk airframes to the NSW Rural Fire Service, which will boost the State’s ability to respond to life or death emergencies.

Families will save $825 a year on average, as NSW becomes the first State in Australia to provide Government subsidies to all three year olds to attend community preschool.

Significantly boosting hospital services and emergency care, as well as supporting families across the State, are top priorities of the NSW Budget 2018, Treasurer Dominic Perrottet and Minister for Health and Medical Research Brad Hazzard announced today.

NSW will be the first state in Australia to provide access for all children to attend two years of preschool, saving families an average of $825 a year and boosting access to early childhood education.

The NSW Government is investing $474.3 million on our youngest learners in the 2018-19 Budget – a $29.8 million increase on last year.

The community will be better protected from high-risk offenders who hold violent, extremist views, thanks to an $89 million investment by the NSW Government. 

The NSW Government today announced a $14.4 billion budget for public transport and infrastructure, an investment that will continue to fuel the State’s infrastructure boom while providing quality services for customers.
