NSW Liberal Party Members have chosen a local business leader, broadcaster, and former National Life Education CEO, Kellie Sloane, to continue the hard work of Gabrielle Upton for the Vaucluse community.

Raising three boys with her husband Adam, Kellie’s family life has been anchored in the local community for eight years, including involvement in Eastern Suburbs District Rugby Union Football Club, North Bondi RSL, North Bondi Nippers, and the Roosters.

She has also sat on the board of Miracle Babies Foundation, and has been a long-standing member of Women on Boards. Kellie has been a finalist in the 2021 CEO Magazine NFP Executive of the Year, the 2017 Telstra Business Woman of the Year (for purpose and social enterprise category) and 2016 Women’s Agenda Leadership Award.

“With my sons attending The Scots College and playing rugby for Easts, I’ve had so many conversations with the local community about the many challenges that families and businesses have been facing in the past few years,” said Ms Sloane.

“I knew that I wanted to help and use my experience to deliver continued investment in local businesses, roads and services, while helping to preserve our unique lifestyle.”

“As a mum of three, I am very conscious of the cost of living pressures that families have been struggling with, and if elected I will work hard to deliver the support that this community needs."

“I am also very dedicated to ensuring that we deliver a better future for our children. After decades as a broadcaster and a businesswoman, I took up the opportunity as the National CEO of Life Education because I wanted to make a real difference to the safety and wellbeing of children – spending years advocating for better mental health support and online safety.”

“The Vaucluse electorate has been served incredibly well by the retiring Member Gabrielle Upton. I hope to be given the chance to continue her hard work, such as the Edgecliff station upgrade and additional ferry services, and build on her great legacy,” Ms Sloane said.

“I will use this opportunity to advocate for a brighter future for our community, and work incredibly hard to support the Perrottet Government in growing our economy, boosting family budgets, strengthening frontline services and investing in the infrastructure we rely on.”
